Anna Canzi and Carlo Cabrini star in this Italian drama directed by Ermanno Olmi. When Giovanni (Cabrini) accepts a promotion at work, it means that he must transfer to Sicily and leave his friends and family behind. Although he is determined to succeed in his new job, he can't help but feel that he has made the wrong decision.
