Documentary about the World War II bomber planes and their pilots. The Lancaster bombers were an integral part of the RAF and played a major role in numerous key campaigns and missions including the Dam Busters and Tirpitz. Archive footage and accounts from veteran pilots, test pilots and the pilot of the last Lancaster bomber - still flown today as part of the Battle of Britain Memorial flight - give an insight into what it was like to fly in combat in these formidable planes.
